About Us
Photography for me began in front of the camera. My mother was constantly taking pictures,
and was consistent with getting our annual family photo taken. When I was old enough I
started taking pictures and adding to my own photo albums. I took pictures of family and
friends and enjoyed capturing beauty in the simple things in life. To this day I try to
find the beauty in people places, and things. I more often then not find the task of
capturing beauty not too difficult. Even though I was not selective of who or what I
photographed in the past, my mother was the main person in front of my camera. She
absolutely loved having her picture taken. It's because of my mother I developed not
only a love of pictures, but an appreciation for them.
When I started a family of my own, my children and the special man in my life became my
main subjects. My honey is the one who encouraged me to pursue a career in photography,
and has been my biggest supporter ever since. The name of my website is in dedication to
my children as they are also big fans and supporter's of my work. Many people ask me what
does KESS mean, it is my children's initials.
Being very family oriented I understand how precious and important it is to capture and
preserve memories. I also know that the best way to capture beautiful images of people is
for them to be comfortable with their photographer. With that being said, I would be more
then happy to have a complimentary phone consultation with potential clients to determine

I understand that we are in a digital age, as the majority of the images I take are digital,
but I prefer to spend more time behind the camera then in front of the computer. Even though
I have the capability to make minor edits to photos there is not much photo manipulation
done to the images I create. I believe in excellent customer service, and I work hard to
provide my clients with quality work. I believe I can continue to provide quality work by
always improving on my skills. I went back to school to improve on my skills and gain more
knowledge of the photography world. Going back to school was the best thing I could have
done for my career. Not only am I learning things that I would not have learned on my own
just going out there and shooting, but my teachers root for my success. My teachers are
not only supportive, but they are extremly knowledgable.
There is no time like the present to capture and preserve your memories. I lost two close
family members in a short amount of time and having pictures of them helps keep memories
fresh in my mind. Not that I will ever forget them, but it is nice to look at pictures of
them, revisit those happy moments and feel like they are still with me. I understand that
